Applications
USi-6802E Water Repellent Gel is Octyltriethoxysilane formulated as a water-based thixotropic gel.
USi-6802E can be applied to any surface including Overhead, vertical and horizontal without run off. The Silane gel remains on the surface for up to 60 minutes ensuring deep and even penetration into the Substrate. The high penetration depths achieved are due to the low volatility of the silane, combined with the long contract time with the surface.
Methods of application include airless sprayer, roller and brush. Surfaces should be dry and free of surface dirt, dust, oil and other contaminants. Fresh concrete or newly repaired areas should be allowed to dry for at least 28 days before treatment with USi-6802E. And the treated surfaces should be left undisturbed for a minimum of 6 hours. As to application rate, it depends on the density of concrete and depth of penetration required. Generally, One coat of 300gm/m2 is recommended for concrete impregnation. However, a trial should be carried out to decide a suitable application rate.
